Asso Coffee Jack – Coffee Leveller and tamper all in one
Description: The Asso Coffee Jack coffee leveller is a both a distribution tool and tamper all in one.
Its the perfect fusion between technological innovation and craftsmanship.
Pop into portafilter basket - twist clockwise once or twice for a consistent and level tamp, removing one of the many variables from pulling the perfect shot.
Needs a dense coffee puck for a creamy shot - no problem - just adjust the depth of the leveller.
Easy to do - twist leveller anticlockwise to make it deeper by the millimetre, click by click until you have reached the ideal depth.
Note: This leveller is 58.5mm and will not fit certain baskets
Weight: 350 grams
Width: 58.5 mm
Height: 10 × 9 × 5 cm
Material: Stainless steel base and laminated carbon silver aluminium top.
The asso coffee leveler has 4 angled slopes that glides the coffee around in a circle to create a puck of even density.
With a 58.4mm tamp ensures less channelling & micro-channelling - tamps right up to the edge.
Weighing in at just under 500 grams - ideal weight for a dense puck.
PVC rim ensures a swift and even tamp .

Q. How do you know how deep to set the leveller? A: You'll know it's set too deep if you get edging or the Jack does not contact the top rim of the filter basket. If too shallow , the coffee is not compressed fully. You can touch the surface of the coffee puck to get an idea of how solid it is after leveling. If it gives a lot, set the leveller deeper.
Q. Does this really tamp and level - no need for tamper? A: Once you have set the correct depth for your type of coffee - yes no need to tamp after wards.
Q. I have a 58mm filter basket - will it fit that? A: PROBABLY - most 58mm baskets leave a little wriggle room - measure just in case.
The Jack leveler is easy to adjust and with a simple (light) push and swivel(s), it makes a perfectly level & solid puck. Compared to cheaper levelers, i have immediately noticed a much better extraction and ZERO channeling. If anything, i would highly recommed this tool to any aspiring/hobby Barista who is looking to make consistently good shots with ease. Despite not having to tamp, i do find it works better with a light tamp. A calibrated Espro tamper is what i use, which is a fantastic tool as well. Overall. the jack leveler is a GREAT tool have and despite a high price tag, the quality & results are well worth it. Service from BSC was first class; from assistance to rapid shipment & packaging - everything was flawless. 10/10!

Im in Australia and i was told 9 days shipping, i received my order in 5 days. I got tracking with my order, i ordered various barista pro nanotech baskets and the jack leveler, i was worried that i would receive after market crap but everything was original. I would also like to add that these products are not available in Australia, no one in USA or UK apart from Blu StarCoffee were willing to ship these items to me. Very happy with the service, price and products. Fantastic, love you long time :)
