The scale resin filter prevents the build-up of calcium in the boiler of your machine. As water is passed through the resin the calcium sticks to the resin.
Resin filters need to be replaced every 25 litres depending on water hardness. In very hard water areas we suggest replacing each month.

Each Nical 125 filter is good for keeping your machine safe for 22 litres or 2 months max at standard hardness.

💡When used with a BWT Water Filter jug it will it will both filter and reduce limescale.

💡While resin water softeners are great for reducing mineral build-up - you will still have to descale your coffee machine. How often you descale depends on the water's hardness + how much water is being softened.
