Cafetto Spectra^® is such a welcome alternative to traditional coffee machine descalers.

The color changes to orange, from blue when the descale is completed. If still blue - do a 2nd descale, using the same descaler. 

It is phosphate-free, Organic, and NSF certified and so much better, for the environment.
It rapidly degrades, is odorless, and free from phosphates. This acid is citric which is fine to use on aluminium boilers, so long as contact time is limited to max 25 min.
