This solenoid is typically found on the group head of a commercial coffee machine and home machines and has the longer-lasting ruby viton seal pad - better for hard water areas.
This fits the same as the Parker Lucifer valve, but is better value - you will have to loosen the nut to have it pointing the same way.
Why replace your solenoid valve and coil :
If no water is coming from the group
If water is constantly dripping from the group or the solenoid base
If the valve burns out - This is rare - it is more likely that the valve is blocked or worn.
Make sure you have turned off the water connection before you remove these valves, otherwise, water will spurt out of the group.
Remove the 4 hexagonal nuts with an Allen key - make sure you have the correct Allen key otherwise, you may damage the nut.
Insert the Allen key into the hexagonal nut and tap anti-clockwise with a spanner - this will break the seal caused by a mineral build-up.
When replacing make sure that the hole of the solenoid is correctly aligned with the hole in the coffee group, otherwise, you won't get any water from the group. Also make sure the o rings are present on the base of the body, as they can slip off during transport.
If you have to replace it while the machine is still warm - be careful as hot water will pour from the group - better to do it while it cold.
Refit the coil and check the body for leaks.
💡If screws were hard to take off - then you should replace them with new screws, as next time they may not come off if they are damaged. see solenoid screw hex M4X10.
