This is a a PHENOMENAL budget grinder.
Since there is no timer, to activate the grinder you simply push the portafilter in the holder, which presses a button and begins grinding. It really is very very simple, with almost no bells or whistles.
The quality of grind is VERY nice. The grinds come out incredibly fluffy - the ACE anti clumping system works extremely well.
It's an incredibly fast and quiet grinder. I was shocked at how quiet it is in comparison with my Baratza encore, which sounds like a jackhammer in comparison.
Everything feels incredibly well crafted. This thing really puts the Baratza Sette and other comparable grinders to shame.

The Mignon Manuale is a great grinder.

It’s relatively quiet and easy to open for cleaning (with just a Phillips screwdriver).

It’s got pretty low retention but I find there are often a few grinds caught in the chute, so I’d recommend giving the grinder a tap to make sure everything falls out. It normally takes just one. The grinds are light and fluffy, which is great. Minor clumping occurs at very fine grind levels. The most annoying part of this grinder is the micro metric grind adjustment wheel. The numbering is pretty arbitrary, and it’s very sensitive, though once it’s dialed in this isn’t an issue, of course.
Overall, it’s a fairly priced grinder and when used with scales can be used very effectively as a grind-by-weight grinder as well.

This grinder looks great, is very quiet. Provides a consistent grind size, and can go beyond what's required for good espresso, as well as wide enough for drip and french press coffees. The size adjustment, while is infinite, can sometimes be difficult to keep track of for purposes of switching between beans. Absolutely no issues with static. The noise level is probably one of the biggest pros to this grinder. Lacks features like timed dosage etc but for this price point and quality I would recommend this to any entry level to intermediate coffee lovers.
