This is a high-quality Stainless steel AISI304 filter basket with a smoother and higher gloss finish than a standard filter basket.
Its conical and circular holes with electro-polished finish ensure the best possible and consistent coffee extraction and the least amount of sediment.

This *cone shape creates a compact coffee pod which allows the coffee to get a better extraction and space for the coffee volume.
Suitable for De Longhi and Smeg domestic coffee machines

*In some cases, you may need to replace the basket spring if the basket is not a firm fit in your portafilter - see  Filter Basket Spring 1.2 mm

💡*The 22/24/26mm will fit original Delonghi portafilters that have a PVC coffee disperser inside - if you remove the PVC disperser. You can remove it by unscrewing it to make the IMS basket fit, and you may need to grind your coffee finer.

💡 *Most Delonghi portafilters have a PVC coffee disperser inside. You would have to remove this by unscrewing from the base to make the IMS baskets fit. As you would no longer have a pressurized basket, you would need to grind your coffee finer.

⚠️*You may need to change your tamper to use this IMS basket: This basket is tapered - 51mm at the top and 49mm at the base - the best fitting tamper is the Joe Frex Dedica 50.8mm Tamper - (50mm tamper would be too loose at the top and 51mm will not go down very far)

Fits my bottomless portafilter for my Delonghi ECP without any issues! Now i can get the nice deep pucks Lance Hedrick advocates for and he is right about the better taste it produces. I only make coffee on the Delonghi now as opposed to the 58mm Rocket Appartamento :D

Hi Ramiro, This fits the Delonghi Dedica, the large deep basket is suitable for bottomless portafilters and the smaller double baskets are suitable for double portafilters.

Hi Irina, I think that it does fit - as IMS state it fits SMEG, and as far as I can tell they only have 1 51mm model. Check our portafilter depth as we have 4 heights. Dimensions:  Edge D.61.5mm, Inside D.51.5mm Body 52.5mm

I’ve just bought this and neither of my 51mm tampers fit properly inside the basket? Because it’s like a a slight cone, the tampers only just fit in the top then won’t push down properly? Is this a fault or do I need a 50mm tamper??

Hi Tom, We have tested this on our #3315 tamper and it fits - however as the basket is cone-shaped - it will not go down very far. The Joe Frex #5003 is a better fit, goes down halfway. A 50mm tamper will go all the way down but will be loose on the top.

Hi there. Will this fit a ROK? I've read a rok will take a 51mm ims basket. Will it take the triple shot one? A rok can take about 21gs of coffee. Thanks lads.

If I do this what is the deepest IMS DL basket I can use i.e. 22E/24E/26E/32E mm? Also, does IMS do a Big Bang 51mm basket to fit Delonghi machines, as I can't seem to find it on your website? Hi EB, The deepest that the original PF will accept is the 26mm basket.

About the triple basket, and 18+ grams of dose. Will the delonghi dedica choke up? Asking for light to medium roast, mostly use a local roasters blend of 50-50 Arabica-robusta but also brew with their 100% Arabica blend sometimes and might try single origin. Currently with the stock shower screen and a non-ims bottomless basket 18 grams work fine. Plan to change to ims shower screen and this triple ims basket, which I heard needs finer grind and thus I'm wondering if my dedica might choke up.

Hi Manos, If the grind is too fine, then it will choke, you may have to adjust the grind to correspond with the extra qty of coffee.

Hi, Is the 16/18 basket suitable for 18 grams of coffee,or is gonna be hard to place all of it inside?Is the 18/20 the better choice for me if I want to use 18 grams of coffee?

Hi Giannis, The quantity of coffee that fits into the basket is approximate and depends on how fine the grind is and the type of coffee used. The 16/18g H26 Double will probably fit 18g - measure the height of the existing basket to be sure - this one is 26mm in height.
