Description: 
 The main function of the Minimo group gasket is minimizing the effort that must be exerted by the barista to hook the portafilter to the coffee machine group head.

This is a rubber and PTFE gasket made by DVG in conjunction with Del Creatives - who designed the Matrix E61 shower screen.

The MINIMO portafilter gasket helps to preserve the barista's wrists reducing friction. It’s made with an EPDM base and a PTFE layer moulded together. The PTFE layer combined with an EPDM base makes it more durable than the standard gaskets.

It’s a completely new design ideal for both commercial and E61 groups

Why buy? 

• Less barista fatigue - It lowers the friction between the filter basket and the gasket by 80%.
• Lasts twice as long compared to traditional silicon or rubber gaskets - the PTFE side will not wear, unlike rubber or silicon.
• It protects the gasket from over-drying which can result in cracks in the gasket over time - so it lasts longer.
• It is much easier and smoother to lock the Portafilter with it.

Why replace your group gasket:

If you notice water leaking from the area above the portafilter, known as the group head, then your gasket is probably to blame. When changed your coffee cream will improve as you will have achieved the maximum extraction pressure of 9 bars. (The pressure will be constant as the filter basket has a full seal.) 
We recommend that you keep a spare group gasket and change your gaskets every 12 months.
