Ceme electro 3-way solenoid valve 230V

Details:

This is a Ceme electrovalve for Ascaso models with a solenoid. Replace the ODE solenoid - see above.

It is the most common solenoid found on ascaso machines and will fit almost all the home range.

Regular machine descaling usually prevents this from getting blocked, but sometimes tiny debris in the water can block or restrict it.

To prevent your solenoid from blocking: 

  1. Descale at least every 3 months month - this will not only remove minerals and scale, but it will also remove particulates that can build up and block the 1mm opening in the valve.
  2. Install a softener in the water tank - this will prolong the life - you will need to still descale.


You may need this part if:

  •  No water is coming from the group - the solenoid valve could be blocked with lime or debris.
  •  Water is constantly dripping from the group when steaming the milk.
  • If the machine is not descaled every 3-4 months.
  • No steam from the Steel duo or steam vents into the water reservoir.

Replacing the valve:   - Allow 30 min

  1. 10mm spanner
  2. 12mm spanner.
  3. Teflon tape

 

How to fit:
- Make sure that the machine is plugged out 1st 
- Remove silicon tube and ss nut
- Slide off the electro valve - (Take note of where the wires go if removing the wires)
- Remove both nuts holding the elbow fittings.
- Finally, remove the old solenoid valve.
- Remove the elbow fittings from the old valve: Fittings are glued with a thread locker, so you can use boiling water to melt the glue and make removal easier (or purchase fittings below)
- Insert new elbow fittings with Teflon tape  
- Put everything back and check for leaks

When fitting this solenoid valve  - take note of the arrow - it should be pointing away from the boiler. See your old one, if you reverse the valve - it won't work and you will have to redo it.

Suitable fittings:

  • Elbow fitting 1/8"M x 1/8"M Fits on no.2 side - see below
  • Elbow fitting 1/8"M x 8mm M Fits on no.1 side - (We don't have this fitting - you will have to recycle the old one.)  When the old solenoid is removed use a wrench to loosen this one - easy to take off.
