How to install a contact thermostat in a coffee machine

1. Turn off the coffee machine and plug it out from the socket.
2. Screw off the lid of the coffee machine, (2 Philips screws underneath the top next to the group) 
3. Remove the wires from the 1st thermostat and unscrew anti-clockwise until it's off.
4. Check its rating - found at the top of the thermostat near threads (140c or 100c)
5. Clean the area from any old thermal paste.
6. Add the thermal paste to the base of the thermostat - (not the threads ).💡 Hand tighten only - ⚠️Never use a spanner as the soft brass threaded shaft will snap off.
7. Screw in the new thermostat and insert back the wires.
8. You are good to go!

💡 Suggestions:

• Use Thermal Paste for better thermal contact - see below.
• Replace the steam thermostat at the same time - if one has failed the other won't be far behind or has failed already.
