IMS produces a number of filter baskets called The single, for different machine models.

While "The Single" is designed for professional baristas and commercial coffee machines, it can be used in a hole set.
It requires no particular setting on the coffee grinder and consumes 50% less coffee compared to the other one-cup coffee filters 

Born as an alternative for those who love the taste and characteristics of a double extraction but with only half the quantity of coffee, set against the traditional one-cup coffee filters "The Single" allows a more balanced, slightly less rich taste with a much longer and delicate aftertaste.

What makes 'The single' different :

• Taste profile:  The Single compared to the double espresso is a more balanced taste, which is slightly less strong but with a long and very delicate aftertaste.
• Conical Shape: Less risk of over-extraction and channeling, due to its shape. Complete extraction and leaves the filter basket cleaner.  
• Holes: Half-moon shape, with central holes. It balances the extraction speed, making it similar to the double filter, without changing the grinding settings or having to add any coffee.
• Height: Choose the size that best suits you. If you are using an 18gram double you can use a 9-gram single basket and maintain the same taste profile

This ridged single basket comes in 6  different basket heights and accepts 58.5mm tampers

* Although the baskets are the same height - the internal volume is different due to a deeper pan at the base of the basket.
