This is the original 7.5mm Bezzera Gasket for models with the BZ, E61 group and new commercial models - see fits tab.
It is made from hard silicone - so feels like a rubber gasket.
The group gasket seals the portafilter to the group and prevents coffee from escaping during its 9 bars of extraction. As the gaskets age, they go hard and pressure is lost as the coffee will escape from the side of the group.
