This portafilter is made from 100% food-safe stainless steel and is designed to optimise efficiency and durability. 💡 The body is deep enough for H28 triple baskets.
This stainless steel portafilter is an improvement on the traditional chrome-plated brass as the steel will remain the same even after years of use.
Chrome-plated brass will lose chrome on the spout and inside the body and expose the 3% lead found in brass. Both the open spout and basket are made from stainless steel so your portafilter will always look like new.
Features:
Health. Stainless steel is food-safe and better than chrome-plated brass. Even with the use of low-lead brass, there are metal migrations in the beverage. The traditional chrome-plated brass filter holder is black on the inside in a few weeks, while the stainless steel one is unalterable over time.
Quality of material. Stainless steel is a much harder material than brass. Its lifespan is much longer.
