Why use a Dynamometric Pressurised Tamper?

Since the same pressure is applied, this will remove the inconsistencies associated with numerous members of staff applying varying rates of pressure to ground coffee.
The tamper can be adjusted by turning the handle clockwise or anticlockwise to decrease/increase the pressure. Turning the handle clockwise will tighten the spring and reduce the pressure required.

Is the tamper self-leveling? Many dynamometric tampers have the problem, that the tamper-achse with the spring can move a little bit inside the handle, so there ist 2-3° skew tamping.

Hi Rita, When you press the handle down the level disc prevents it from going further - once the disc touches the portafilter it cannot be skewed. Therefore you get a level tamp. See " #3366 " with a thick base for a skew-free tamping.

Sorry for my questions, but could you please make a video, how to use it exactly? How can I put the collar on the basket if the level disc stands out so far? There is a big distance between the collar and the level disc, that’swhy the level disc presses the coffee ground before the collar reaches the basket.

Hi Rita, When you press the tamper down - the level disc will lower down to the basket. Once the level disc sits on the basket - the tamper cannot be skewed. A level tamp will ensure a total extraction.
