How to descale your machine:
- Fill water tank with 1000ml of water and add 50 grams of descaler (more depending on scale build up).
- Turn the machine on and dispense 2 cups of water through both of the steam wand and the group.
- Turn the machine off and let the descaling solution sit for 20 minutes.
- Turn the machine on and dispense the remaining descaling liquid in the tank through both steam wand and group.
- Rinse the water tank with clear water and fill it up again.
- Turn the machine on and dispense about half the tank of clean water through both of the steam wand and the group.
How to descale E 61 groups:
Descales the group solenoid electrovalve for electronic E61 groups, heat exchanger & fitting and the e61 group components, including brass gicleur
- Fill water tank with 500ml of water and add 25-50 grams of descaler
- Turn the machine on and dispense 2 cups of water through the group, let the descaling solution sit for 10 minutes.
- Dispense the remaining descaling liquid in the tank through the group.
- Rinse the water tank with clear water and fill it up again.
- Turn the machine on and dispense about half the tank of clean water through both of the steam wand and the group.
This procedure will not descale the boiler - only group. You may have to lubricate the group afterwards. Follow manufactures instructions.
