It is made from long-life K110 steel - commonly known as D2, and is a high-carbon, high-chromium, semi-stainless tool steel. Known for its outstanding hardness, strength, wear, and abrasion resistance.
If you can't get the grind any finer, then you need to replace the blades.
Your new blades are sharper and will deliver a finer grind, so you will have to adjust your grinder after you replace the blades.
This set are a replacement "Flat" Grinder blades.
