This kit did the job. My Rocket had recently been "professionally" refurbished (for depressurizing problems) and it barely lasted a year before the flush valve quit opening sufficiently. Daily but light use. The cause was not clear and I looked hard. Tentative conclusion is that a critical part in my machine was bad though not visibly worn much. The cam if forced to guess, but I was too lazy to take it all apart again to measure all the parts. Cam would be tough to measure correctly. Anyway, doing a very careful job myself had a better result than shipping to the pros. In more ways than one. It was clear that the pro's had only touched what they had to in the moment. The flush dispersion head in the kit is an improvement. The only part that did not fit is the spring sleeve for the brew lever, which was a wee bit too fat for the handle. I used the old one, which was fine. Also, the o-ring between the mushroom and the ceramic sleeve was not included and mine is pretty bad. But I know where to get that quickly if it fails. Most importantly, the kit worked and saved me from figuring out which of three or four parts were causing the problem, not to mention the cleaning of those parts. My advice to newbies is go ahead, you'll be happy if you're inclined that way. Much faster than paying someone else to botch it up!
