Details: The ULKA EX5 is the world's most common pump sold today - made outside Milan Italy by the CEME group.
It is made with a brass stem which lasts longer and is stronger than the plastic version. If your model had a plastic stem pump EP5 - this would still fit and be stronger. Pumps have an average life of 15-30,000 cups (4- 8 years) and lose their ability to extract at 9 bars of pressure over time. You may need to replace this pump if:
If, when you turn the coffee switch on, you get no water. If your pump is 4 years or older, you are getting less coffee crema than you used to have, and then the pump pressure is fading - it is time to get a new one.

Great pop in replacement for my Rancillio Silvia. Works great, just remember to buy plumbers tape for the joints or it will slowly leak.
