Universal Portafilter Spouts

We have a range of espresso coffee spouts to suit most portafilters. 
 
From 3/8 commercial portafilters from single and double to triple espresso coffee spouts. Triple spouts allow you to make 3 espresso at a time. 

How do I fit a coffee spout on a portafilter ?

Fitting a single spout is simple as it does not matter where the spout finishes. A double spout is a different matter as it needs to fit horizontally for 2 cups. The threads of portafilters finish differently, as does the thread of the spout depending on the brand - you can be lucky and fits it right 1st time - but in case you have difficulties - see our helpful tips below.

1. Remove existing spout - some are glued and some are factory tightened. 💡 If you cannot remove it easily try immersing it in boiling water - this will either loosen the glue or expand the metal.
2. Clean existing spout - rub with a cloth to remove existing glue or debris.
3. Screw on the spout clockwise:

• If the spout finishes just short of straight - insert a screwdriver into the spout and tighten clockwise.
• If the spout finishes halfway and won't go any further no matter how you try - you will have to use Blue Star Coffee PTFE Sealing Tape or Universal Threadlocker Blue 242 glue...while inconvenient it is necessary.
