VBM was founded by Carlo Ernesto Valente in 1976 , at the historic site in Via Mauro Macchi, Milan.

 Towards the end of the 70s, VBM started making machines for home use, creating the first domestic espresso machine in history: the Domobar followed by the Dosatronic, the first electronic version of the Replica, and the relaunch of the Domobar Super. The Domobar Super, Domobar Junior, and Domobar are one of the best-selling home e61 machines. Replica Pistone is the VBM lever 2 and 3 groups.
