IMS Competition San Marco Basket   €17.99

I ordered this from Blue Star as the Australian agent could not supply it for a few months. In addition the price, including shipping, was considerably cheaper than the Australian price. It is basically the same size as the stock Izzo basket, but higher quality.
The espresso from my Izzo Pompei is richer, with about the same amount of fruit but with an overall more complex and interesting depth of flavour even when using the same 'recipe'.
The cooling coffee next to me keeps my mouth watering with the beautiful fragrance.
Overall a very good purchase.

My IMS competition basket arrived today just in time for an espresso (beans measured but not ground yet).

So, same beans—Costa Rica Miel SHB roasted by me, same dose—17 gm, same extraction time and quantity and… more fruit, same great mouthfeel, much improved taste, and the aroma from the cup sitting beside me as I type this continues to make my mouth water.😋

There's a lot to like, but most importantly it makes a difference in the cup. You can feel the difference in the finish of the holes
