Suitable from most semi-automatic espresso machines with an intake hose in the water tank.
The scale resin filter prevents the build-up of calcium in the boiler of your machine. As water is passed through the resin the calcium sticks to the resin.
Resin filters need to be replaced every 6 months or 150 liters depending on water hardness. In very hard water areas we suggest replacing it after 3 months.

💡While resin water softeners are great for reducing mineral build-up - you will still have to descale your coffee machine. How often you descale depends on the water's hardness + how much water is being softened.
