How to fit: This is intended to be a guide only - if you don't feel competent to carry out this repair, bring to a service centre.

• Clean the threads and insert the threaded pipe into the boiler element - use thread lock for the seal - see below.
• Insert the boiler element into the boiler, making sure you have a new seal and bolt in place.
• Pipe is now vertical, and element is firmly in place and earth wire is connected to the screw, that holds element in place.
• Use the handle of a screwdriver to bend the pipe into a C shape and finally apply pressure to move the pipe over to the pressure stat.
• Finally, when nut is tightened attach the wires back to the boiler element.
