Won't fit:

• Ascaso dream, steel, arc, ellipse, or basic 57mm.
• Portafilters that have push-on spouts such as La Marzocco original portafilters.
• Models that don't have an OPV (over-pressure valve)   

How to use the portafilter pressure gauge:

1. Unscrew your portafilter spout first. (Check that you can unscrew 1st.)
2. Screw the gauge clockwise to the vertical valve that comes with this kit.
3. Insert the gause 1st and then insert the rubber gasket into the vertical valve.
4. Screw the vertical valve to the 3/8'' portafilter nozzle.💡You may need PTFE tape to seal on the thread of the gauge. - see below.
5. Place portafilter into the group as you would normally do.
6. This is used running water through the PF only - don't use it with coffee!
7. Turn on the coffee button and watch the pressure build up on the gauge.
8. You may have to tighten the valve or gauge.
9. Adjust the OPV to the required pressure*
10. Adjust a rotary vane pump*- usually a screw at the side of the pump - (clockwise to increase pump.) 

*While 9 bar is a standard acceptable pressure for brewing espresso - you may have to adjust the pressure to 9.2 or 9.3 bars to extract at 9 bars.
