Mineral build-up issues in a commercial coffee machine
- Boiler element coating - As the element gets coated, it will have to work harder, burning more energy and eventually burning out the PCB and element.
- Pressure stat buildup - As the PS valve gets blocked with lime group boiler pressure will drop - resulting in reduced steam and colder coffee and and will need replacing.
- Group solenoid: - Coffee will slow down and eventually stop and will need replacing.
- Steam valves - Start leaking as the rubber stopper is coated in lime.
- Heat exchanger - the small 1/8" fitting gets blocked in time - resulting in the group getting no water.
- Boiler valves: Safety valve and anti vac valves will start to fail and will need replacing.
