How to fit lever piston gaskets

1. Use a pick to pry off old piston gaskets
2. Clean the Piston using a coffee cleaner such as Urnex or Pluycaff - remove any debris 
3. If rubber gaskets are used, they can be softened if dipped in boiling water.
4. Rub a little of the food-safe silicon grease on the 1st piston to ease installation.
5. Install the top gasket 1st - Cover the 2 bottom notches on the piston with sellotape- make sure that it is installed the right way up - see image.
6. Take care when installing the new gaskets. They will not want to settle in the correct position and will require a soft touch to rotate them so they sit with narrow sides in the centre of the piston and flaring edges on the bottom and top respectively. It's easy to damage the gasket.
7. When all 3 gaskets are installed add food-safe grease on the outside - less is more ..remove any excess grease with a tissue.
