This is an original ECM brass 2 bar safety valve with a 3/8'' male thread - certified Ce-PED

Safety valves open up at a certain pressure if the boiler pressure should rise too much due to a pressure switch or PCB malfunction.

The safety valve should be replaced if you hear it hissing after the machine has warmed up. ie reached 9 bars. It remains open due to a blockage with lime or spring has lost its strength. You will need plumber tape to seal the joint.
