This water softener from Bilt, the leading water softener specialist in Italy is ideal for machines with an open tank. Suits most home espresso machines with an intake hose and an open water tank. Should last 300 liters before you need to replace it. The scale resin filter prevents the build-up of calcium in the boiler of your machine. As water is passed through the resin the calcium sticks to the resin.
Resin filters need to be replaced every 6 months or 300 litres depending on water hardness.
